Ally doing a cover of Sunday Morning by Maroon 5.
First installment in a series of technical ‘how-to’ videos, Geoffrey Gleason offers guidance to those new to the internet.
Kudos to my daughter, Ally for putting together this great video. It’s been great doing shows again with Dave this year. I think this video captures the history of our friendship and our creative chemistry that I believe still exists nearly 30 years later.
Coming to a theater near you!
Chris and Dave reunite and sign up for a voiceover acting class at Kishwaukee College in Malta, IL. Dave has his notebook ready to go.
Chris and Dave right before the voiceover class begins. Tips for keeping the voice prepared for an effective voiceover.
After the class, Chris and Dave deal with the harsh reality that they may never make it in the voiceover business.
When the podcast began taking off in the fall of 2010, Ally put together this promotional video to help propel the show to even greater heights.
From Chris and Peet’s 2008 Danville road trip. I almost broke a hip here. Not a good thing to do at my age.
Featured here is my 40th birthday celebration on October 7, 2006. I had a wonderful time creating yet more memories with people that have been a major part of my life. I think I calculated 21.25 years as the average span of these friendships, the earliest going back to 1975! If you were there, thanks so much for being part of this special life milestone!!! Represented here are friends from my early childhood, high school, and IRI, my employer for 16 years.
We borrowed a fire pit from a neighbor. The evening was a typical October night – low 50’s. We were blessed with a full moon which lit up the autumn evening sky. The firewood smell lingered for days – in our clothes, in our house, EVERYWHERE!
My good friend Kelly for over 25 years brought birthday cake shots. See the blog section of this site for the recipe!!
Sadly, this is the only video footage from that evening.
From Smorg Reunion – A long and pointless story about garlic body – the state one reaches by consuming so much garlic that no matter what you do there is no escaping the smell of garlic. It’s way beyond garlic breath.
From the 20th Anniversary Smorgasbord Reunion – Peet’s wardrobe discussed. After 20 years, there is still no explanation for the red pants.
From the Smorg Reunion – Everyone’s got their favorite plumbing story, and this is Peet telling his. A great story from the days of the Bolingbrook apartment, circa 1986. You just can’t make up stuff like this.
From the 20th Anniversary Smorgasbord Gang Reunion (06.08.02). Chris and Dave promote Bod Man body spray. This is the very last recorded bit of Chris and Dave.
Just a bit of nonsense talk at the end of the evening from our 20-year Smorg reunion.
The Manneken Pis is a very famous Brussels landmark. It is a small bronze fountain sculpture depicting a naked little boy urinating into the fountain’s basin. On occasion, the statue is hooked up to a keg of beer. Cups will be filled up with the beer flowing from the statue and given out to people passing by. I brought this souvenir back for Jerry from my trip to Belgium.
Peet revisits his old Bolingbrook apartment where he and Chris spent the summer of ’85 together. Many classic stories come from that location and time period and Peet takes us back to that special time.
My 30th birthday party was celebrated at the Corner Pocket in Chicago. Dave and Jerry both make this one, but notably absent is Peet, who had moved to New York the prior year. The other people on here are my former work colleagues from IRI.
Dave signs off for the last time and Jerry continues on with his own show on College of DuPage station WDCB-FM. Chris joins Jerry for a bit following Dave’s final broadcast on the station.
